Full Job Description

Our EV business is recruiting for a Regional Project(s) Manager to work on our Commercial EV contracts across the UK.
Role Outline:
The Regional Projects Manager is responsible for ensuring all operational functions are undertaken in accordance with the Morrison Energy Services Limited policies and procedures and requirements for any contracts that the role is responsible for. This role will include the direct management of a team consisting of the following roles -Technical Manager(s), Construction Manager(s) and the Back Office Administrators. These roles could be either site or office based.
As the Regional Project(s) Manager your responsibilities will include but not limited to:

To provide operational support with bids and contracts to ensure robust pricing, risk management and governance
To manage all activities associated with EV infrastructure projects including Independent Connections Provider (ICP) activities in line with our NERS accreditation
To monitor and manage the performance of MES direct staff, agency staff and subcontractors with respect to the required standards of Health and Safety, Quality and the Environment
To be an affective negotiator internally and externally at levels up to Senior Manager level
To provide operational support in the procurement of all sub-contractors, suppliers
To ensure the timely production and document control of all as built and progress records for any contracts that the role is responsible for
Be the face of Morrison Energy Services Limited for all client and contractor operational issues
Provide leadership and guidance to the project team members, and foster a positive team culture
Ensure instructed projects are tracked and managed against key milestones through to completion to facilitate accurate forecasting of work and resources
To plan, recruit and co-ordinate all operational resources for current and future works
To ensure all Morrison Energy Services Limited and client processes are followed to minimise WIP (outstanding cash) and keep WIP within the contract and business targets
Engage in the monthly cost and value reconciliations
Maximise revenue and profit from the EV infrastructure projects through identifying opportunities for cost savings and/or additional chargeable activities
Ensure that timely actions are taken to protect MES contractually / commercially for any delays in agreed programmes
Build and maintain constructive and open relationships with clients and stakeholders in line with the MGS core value of 'delivering what we promise'

Skills and Qualifications Requirements for the Regional Project(s) Manager role:

Industry Knowledge - a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as civil engineering, construction / project management or other construction / electrical related subject
Project Management - capacity to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously
Contract - skills in managing the timely identification & resolution of compensation events on projects
Commercial - Skills in inputting into monthly Cost & Value Reconciliations
Risk Management - skills in managing risks
Communication skills: has excellent communication skills to effectively communicate with stakeholders, team members, and clients
Relationship Building - has the ability to listen to stakeholder needs, being responsive to their concerns, and providing exceptional service
Teamwork - can work effectively as part of a team, collaborating with other members of the EV team
IT Skills - robust skills in Microsoft office software, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Mobility - Full Driving Licence
Meticulous attention to detailDesirable

Industry Knowledge - has an understanding of the EV industry, including trends, suppliers, and market conditions Skills and Qualifications Requirements for the Regional Project(s) Manager role:

Operations Management - minimum of five years' experience in operations management in the electrical distribution industry
Industry Knowledge - a deep understanding of the electrical distribution industry, including trends, competitors, and market conditions
Health & Safety - knowledge of Health & Safety legislation.
Compliance - knowledge of working to the NERS accreditation.
Compliance - knowledge of working to Distribution Network Operator policies and standards
Leadership skills: can lead the team and inspire them to achieve the project goals
Time management skills: can manage time effectively to complete tasks within the given timeline.
Problem-solving skills: can identify problems and come up with innovative solutions to overcome them
Decision-making skills: can make informed decisions that align with the contract objectives
Health & Safety - knowledge of the CDM regulations
Environmental - knowledge of environmental regulations
Contract - detailed knowledge and understanding of the administration of contracts (E.g. NEC, ICE & JCT suite of contracts).
Commercial - experience in supporting the commercial team in monthly Cost & Value ReconciliationDesirable

Industry Knowledge - is familiar with renewable sources and technologies
