Relief Retirement Villages Facilities Assistant

This role is to support the team in times of holiday, sick cover and whenever additional support is needed. The ideal candidate will be available at short notice and be flexible with shift times. Working at our Rose Garden Retirement Village you will be responsible for ensuring communal areas, facilities and equipment is well-kept and clean to the agreed specification and standard. As well as this, you will be supporting with the delivery of events and activities within the village, interacting with residents and responding to any queries and concerns. You will also be required to support our Cathedral Park site on occasion. What could you be doing?

• Undertaking communal cleaning duties, ensuring a safe and hygienic environment.
• Reporting any wellbeing or safeguarding concerns to the Retirement Housing Officer team.
• Liaising with colleagues and residents, striving to deliver a right first-time service for our residents within the retirement village.
• Assisting as requested with the set-up, delivery and clear up for events, activities and social functions.
• Reporting repairs to colleagues in a timely manner to ensure the safety of colleagues and residents.
  
  Experience within a cleaning role would be desirable.
• Knowledge of health and safety associated with cleaning; COSHH and use of appropriate PPE.
• Customer focussed approach and with the ability to show empathy.
• Keen to deliver high standards with an ability to look to improve services.
• Confidence using digital devices, ICT software and systems.
• An Enhanced DBS check is also required for this role.
• Full UK driving license would be preferred.
