Full Job Description

Quell is looking for Research Associate to play a crucial part in the development and implementation of clinical assays within the Translational Immune Monitoring Team. The Immune Monitoring Team work closely other teams across the organisation to support our clinical trials and are responsible for designing and running assays to explore the pharmacodynamics and mechanism of action of our drugs in patients. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a talented and motivated scientist to contribute to our understanding of how CAR-Treg behave in patients and to support a growing pipeline of assets in an exciting and highly dynamic environment focused on developing cutting-edge cellular therapies. MAIN RESPONSIBITIES

  • Carry out flow cytometry assays to improve understanding of CAR-Tregs in patients
  • Assist in development and testing of new assays
  • Receive and process patient samples to a high standard
  • Day-to-day laboratory operations to ensure smooth running of the lab teams
  • Author experiment write-ups and reports
  • Supervise staff as necessary
  • Maintain compliant process documentation

    Familiarity with a range of immunological cell-based techniques and tests including flow cytometry
  • Experience of mammalian cell culture and ideally human immune cell culture
  • Excellent time and project management skills aligned with an ability to prioritise activities
  • Proven commitment to high quality work and maintenance of high standards

  • Experience of mammalian cell culture and ideally human immune cell culture
  • Solid understanding of T cell biology and immunology
  • Ability to carry out molecular and cell-based assays to improve the understanding of engineered Tregs and their impact in preclinical in vitro and in vivo models
  • Assist in the development of novel assays and methods to investigate engineered Treg cell function
  • Assist in the development and testing of novel and relevant immune regulatory assays/models
  • ESENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to present results clearly and logically, working co-operatively as part of a team as well as independently
  • Good attention to detail and record keeping
  • Ability to efficiently identify and implement solutions (i.e., Improve processes)
  • Familiarity with a range of immunological cell-based techniques and tests including Flow Cytometry, ELISA
  • MSc or BSc in Molecular Biology or related subject
