Revenue Accountant

SmartStream is looking for a Qualified or Part Qualified accountant to carry out both Anaplan model building and maintenance and financial analysis & reporting within the revenue function. Job Responsibilities

• Posting of monthly revenues across Group's 1,000+ existing recurring contract base, highlighting potential issues and providing first-line analysis of revenue recognition on new standard contracts to the Business Finance Controller.
• First-line analysis of monthly revenues, contracts in backlog, contract attrition and assistance in the production of management reporting, e.g. Bookings Reports, Flash Revenue Files. Sales Person Performance Reports, Exec Slides etc.
• Production of Weekly Sales Files
• Reconciliation of related key balance sheet accounts, e.g. Unbilled and Deferred
• Play a key role in the accuracy of the Contracts Administration module of Great Plains (encompassing all recurring revenue contracts across multiple entities and locations), updating for new contracts, cancellations and financial changes.
• Assisting the credit controller to ensure timely settlement by customers.
• Ensure that contracts are invoiced in accordance with the agreed process.
• Covering the Management Accountant where required in Professional Services invoicing and reporting
• Ensure that key controls over the revenue recognition procedures are followed.
• Ad-hoc analysis and project work as required.
• Working closely with the Billing & Contract Administrator
  
  Key Skills Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel and comfortable dealing with large volumes of data.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Attention to detail and pride in accuracy
• Ability to communicate at all stakeholder levels, both internally and with customers
• Ability to work to deadlines, whilst being able to prioritise amongst diverse requests from across the company spectrum.

Desirable Skills
• Experience of the Great Plains accounting system.
• Experience of a Business planning and analysis tool, such as Anaplan.
