Full Job Description

  • You will play a key role in asset generation and client retention by fulfilling high quality, informative DDQs and RFIs to service existing and prospective clients. You will also develop compelling proposals (RFPs) aimed at executing on the organisation's sales objectives. In all cases, your work will properly message firm and product capabilities, competitive advantages, protocols and services.
  • You will be responsible for managing each deliverable as an end-to-end process, serving as project manager, writer, stakeholder point of contact, and liaison with SMEs (subject matter experts) throughout the business. You will have the opportunity to partner with key stakeholders, enterprise-wide, including Legal, Compliance, Investments, Product Management, Product Development.
  • You will partner with sales and investments to ensure the scope of each job is clear, uncovering any areas that lack clarity at the onset.
  • You will tailor standard content where appropriate for customization based on the individual client or prospect, and partner with the Knowledge Management team to ensure new and updated content is maintained within the RFP database
  • Over time, the type of jobs you take on will increase in complexity and value-add to the business.
  • You will effectively manage projects to completion, adhering to strict deadlines and working on several projects simultaneously. The drafting process will also include testing and working with a newly-developed Gen AI tool for RFP writers.
  • You will peer review work produced by other team members, and you will work collaboratively across the global RFP team to support other team members and share knowledge.
  • You will ensure as far as possible that disclosures are reflected consistently within product documentation and across like products (where jurisdictional regulations permit)
  • You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records, as these are the basis of our metrics and reporting back to the business

    Must-have skills
  • Previous experience within the financial services industry and/or marketing
  • You should have a solid understanding of the market and investment products, and be eager to grow this knowledge to encompass JHI's unique product set.
  • Solid experience with product-specific data such as performance, returns-based and holdings-based characteristics
  • Some understanding of the regulatory environment and how that impacts on marketing collateral, and an ability to recognize non-compliant content within collateral
  • You must thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced culture, and have the ability to work to quarter- and month-end deadlines, while factoring in ad-hoc business demands and data-delivery timelines. Extended hours are likely at quarter-end, and occasionally ahead of key deadlines.
  • You must have excellent interpersonal and written communication skills with the ability to confidently engage and influence across all levels of the organization, including senior management, whilst being able to work efficiently and collaboratively in a team.
  • Strong writing and proofreading skills, as well as having an eye for detail and willingness to go the extra mile to ensure data and content is accurate, relevant and consistent, and that presentations adhere to style guidelines, regulatory requirements, and client expectations
  • Strong understanding of the functionality within the Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PPT, and Teams
  • A highly organised, flexible, pragmatic, problem-solving mindset, and strong project management capability
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Nice-to-have skills
  • Experience with macro-economic content and data
  • Multiple vehicle (Separate/Segregated Account, Mutual Fund, UCIT, OEIC, SICAV, VIT, ETF, etc.) marketing or reporting experience a major plus
  • Good experience of orderly production file retention processes for audit and compliance purposes
