Location : The role will be based at our London office, Carmelite House, with a blend of in-office (3 days) and homeworking (2 days) per week. The Royalty Accountant is responsible for completing and overseeing all accounting processes related to generating royalty calculations and reports for contributors. What you'll be doing

  • Ensure Stison royalty system is up to date; new contracts added, royalty rules as per contract setup, all relevant sales are reported correctly within specific royalty clauses and uploaded, and payments captured and reconciled to SAP
  • Run and send out Stison and manual royalty reporting to key contributors in a timely manner
  • Contributors' details verified on SAP and process Advance and Royalty invoices and payments sending to treasury department for payment
  • Provide timely and effective support for all queries related to royalties and Advances
  • All relevant Licensor sales are reported correctly within specific royalty clauses and submitted in a timely manner on their specific reporting platform
  • Process incoming royalties and Advances from 3rd party sub right customers ensuring authors / contributors receive contracted share
  • Support the transition to new royalty system, Alliant, and amend business processes

    Experience in the publishing / media industry and ideally previous royalties experience
  • Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and lookups
  • Desirable experience at using Stison royalty system
  • Ability to work independently and in a team to deliver on this key remit
  • Must have a high level of attention to detail
  • Good record-keeping and good time management skills
  • Good verbal and written communication skills to interact with internal and external contacts
  • Must be able to work under pressure when required
