Job Title: Sales Manager

Location: Worcester Office

Salary: Competitive with Bonus Scheme. OTE

Start date: 6th January 2025

Job Description: LOCALiQ are looking for a dynamic and motivated Sales Manager to join our team at the Worcester office. LOCALiQ UK is a digital marketing company that helps businesses grow by boosting their online presence and connecting them with the right customers through multimedia advertising. As part of Newsquest Media Group, one of the UK’s largest local news publishers the Midlands South Region includes popular titles like the Worcester News, Hereford Times, Kidderminster Shuttle and the world’s oldest newspaper, Berrows Journal, which keep local communities informed and connected. The ideal candidate for this vacancy will either come from a commercial media background, in a mid-level –to senior position or be an existing people leader in a B2B sales environment. They will be based either from the office in Worcester or in the field supporting our sales team, there will also be opportunities to work from home. This will be a target driven environment and the candidate will be rewarded with a bonus scheme and a competitive salary.

Key Responsibilities

  • Help the Sales Team develop their multi-media sales skills across different sectors by providing regular and effective coaching and support.
  • Build confidence, motivation, and better results within the team through guidance and encouragement.
  • Inspire team members to take ownership of their sales performance and personal goals.
  • Manage key accounts with a deep understanding of our multi-media products, excellent sales skills, and strong market and competitor knowledge.
  • Plan to meet financial targets, accurately forecast business performance and address any potential revenue gaps.
  • Lead daily motivational team meetings and hold monthly one-to-one performance reviews with sales executives.
  • Set a great example in every aspect of your role, including your presentation, attitude, and performance.
  • Stay up to date with the latest systems and innovations at Newsquest.
  • Review and improve the range of titles, features, and products to meet customer needs and market trends.
  • Foster a positive working environment that attracts and rewards high-performing team members.

Skills and Experience:

  • Excellent verbal communication and clear, accurate writing skills.
  • Strong sales coaching abilities.
  • Numerate and analytical with good computer skills.
  • Experience in sales leadership, customer focus, developing others, and results-driven planning and organizing.
  • Commercial background with extensive digital and print marketing knowledge.(advantageous)
  • Successful field and telesales experience.
  • Some budgeting experience.
  • Relevant leadership/management programs and evidence of self-improvement.
  • Driving licence and own vehicle.
  • Can commute to Worcester office
