1.0 FTE / 35 Hours per week; Grade 6, starting at £29,605.00

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Plymouth Marjon University in the role of School and College Engagement Manager.

The School and College Engagement team sits within the Marketing and Communications Department and delivers highly targeted, successful and in-demand student recruitment and Access activities, alongside significant engagement with the school and college sector. The post-holder will oversee operational aspects of outreach, schools and college liaison and external engagement, working closely with the Head of Student Recruitment and Outreach, key stakeholders at Marjon and relevant colleagues within feeder schools and colleges. The role holder will provide leadership in the development and delivery of high-quality school and college engagement activities and will line manage a small team of dedicated colleagues.

You will be a skilled people manager with a proven ability to motivate and inspire others and demonstrate close alignment with the Marjon Values. You will be highly organised, resilient, work in a collaborative, collegiate and pragmatic way, and be innovative in your approach to school and college engagement. You will also have outstanding rapport-building skills, a friendly demeanour, thrive in challenging situations and have a keen eye for detail.

Your sound knowledge of the education sector and issues affecting young people and their progression to higher education will allow you to build and nurture crucial links and relationships with key stakeholders in schools and colleges and ensure that front of mind awareness of the University and its portfolio of courses are significantly enhanced at local, regional and national level. Ultimately, you will play a key role in achieving student number growth targets and widening participation objectives.

This appointment will be subject to an enhanced DBS check.

Where you'll work:

In this role, you'll be based in the Plymouth Marjon University Marketing team, on our green campus in the north of Plymouth. Our current hybrid working policy means you can work from home or on campus, but as the leader of this team you'd need to maintain strong campus links and be available when needed.
