Full Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and committed individual to join our Science team at Gower College Swansea working at Gorseinon and Tycoch Campus.,

  • Liaise with teaching staff to support the delivery of A Level and Vocational Science courses
  • Ensure that all practical sessions are planned effectively and a safe working environment is maintained
  • Complete First Responder training and undertake the duties

    Ideally possess a Level 2 qualification in Mathematics and Science
  • Ideally with a science background and a current knowledge of Health and Safety regulations
  • Recent experience of working as a Science Technician in an educational setting is desirable
  • Sound administration skills and be proficient in the use of spreadsheets and databases

  • Full-time (37 hours per week)
  • Term time (36 weeks per annum)
  • Fixed term until November 2025, covering maternity leave
  • £19,727 - £20,147 per annum
  • Gorseinon & Tycoch campus, 28 days (pro-rata) annual leave, plus bank holidays, and the college is closed for two weeks over the Christmas period
