SEN Officer

The Children's Sensory and Physical Needs Service is a large, enthusiastic, and dynamic team of specialists providing teaching and support for deaf, vision impaired and MSI children and young people. We work with four schools that host a Local Authority Led Resourced Provision across the Bradford local authority. "Our vision is to provide high quality support for all Bradford children and young people using a collaborative approach through transformational learning experiences so that they can flourish, make excellent holistic progress and successfully transition to responsible citizens". We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic, motivated and well organised individual, with demonstrable skills in MS Office, and data management into the post of SEN Officer to join our team of professionals working with deaf, vision impaired and MSI children across the Children's Sensory and Physical Needs Service, in the Local Authority Led Resourced Provisions (LARP). Ideally, you will have some experience of working in school or educational setting and will have some experience and knowledge of SEN processes. You will be based at Britannia House but you are required to work flexibly across the resourced provision settings. You will need to be able to travel independently across the district. Responsibilities of the post include ensuring that the safety and welfare of children and young people is paramount by implementing the relevant safeguarding practice and policies and liaising with other council colleagues including the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) where appropriate.
