SEN Teaching Assistant

As an SEND Teaching Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting pupils with additional needs, helping them succeed academically, socially, and emotionally. Working closely with class teachers, you will:
+ Provide one-to-one or small group support to assigned pupils with special educational needs (SEND).
+ Assist with all curriculum subjects, ensuring students remain engaged and focused.
+ Create a stimulating and nurturing learning environment to promote social and academic development.
+ Support the wider class and teacher as needed.
+ Foster strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents to ensure the best outcomes.

+ Have recent experience supporting children with special educational needs, ideally on a one-to-one basis.
+ Demonstrate a nurturing and supportive approach, with excellent behaviour management skills.
+ Show a passion for supporting pupils academically, socially, and emotionally.
+ Build strong working relationships with children and staff.
+ Have a solid understanding of varying special educational needs and associated challenges.
+ Hold a Level 2 or 3 qualification in education or a related field.
+ Possess a Team-Teach qualification or manual handling training (desirable but not essential).
