Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- work efficiently and effectively with Children and Young People (CYP), their families and partner agencies to provide support through the SEND journey as well as ensuring statutory timescales are met
- have direct case responsibility for a cohort of pupils with Education Health Care Plans (EHCP) in local mainstream and specialist early years' settings, of statutory school age and post 16, monitoring progress through annual reviews and ensuring EHC Plans remain current and relevant
- co-ordinate and complete EHC Needs Assessments within statutory timescales, demonstrate key-working approaches in everyday practice and have professional relationships with and understanding of education settings and partner agencies to underpin this work.
You will need
- Suitable qualifications at Level 2 and above or equivalent experience in a relevant area of work
- Evidence of continuing professional development (CPD)
- Experience of collaborative work with CYP, families and professionals and evidence of using solution focused approaches in practice
- A key understanding of Child Protection and Safeguarding procedures

The team
The Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) team works closely with families, schools, and other professionals to assess children's needs and develop Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
We work alongside; Special Education Services, SEND Funding and Provider Services and Educational Psychology and Therapeutic Services, Social Care and Health.

Grade 4 - £26,421 per annum (pro rata if part time)
