Manage daily operations of a laboratory section under the Laboratory Manager's guidance, ensuring efficient service delivery.
2. Collaborate with team members to provide a professional clinical laboratory service and support departmental objectives.
3. Develop professional expertise and specialist skills, while training and supervising staff to uphold high standards.
4. Coordinate specialist clinical technical and scientific services, including research and audits, while fostering a culture of quality compliance with accrediting and regulatory standards.

We are looking for a highly motivated, experienced and enthusiastic candidate to join our team in the Department of Microbiology at Charing Cross Hospital.
You must be HCPC registered and possess relevant professional qualifications to degree level or equivalent and either an MSc, FIBMS or equivalent in a relevant discipline and at least 5 years of demonstrable experience within all routine sections in Microbiology.
Possession of any specialist skills or knowledge will be an advantage.
You must have excellent technical, interpersonal and IT skills and exhibit a commitment to the development of your specialist discipline.
You must also have excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work on your own initiative and/or as part of a team., We are looking for individuals who are dynamic and who are committed to being part of a team that delivers a quality service to our patients and who have a shared vision for the future of our laboratory and who share and promote the Trust's values in their day to day performance.

North West London Pathology (NWLP) is an NHS pathology partnership joint venture between Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, Chelsea & Westminster NHS Foundation Trust and The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. NWLP is modelled as a shared services organisation jointly owned by the three Trusts. The organisation is hosted by Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust and as the legal entity for NWLP our staff are employed by Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust.
NWLP is based on a 'hub and spoke' structure; the majority of routine, specialist and non-urgent activity is centralised at our hub site at Charing Cross Hospital. Urgent tests required for immediate patient management and treatment are performed in 24/7 Essential Service Laboratories based on-site within the seven hospital sites in the group.
The partnership has created an innovative and sustainable service that delivers outstanding quality to users and patients alike. This innovative approach allows the service to better manage demand, standardise operations, improve value for money and make use of state-of-the-art technology.
