Full Job Description
Initial placements will be subject to agreement with the successful candidates, but it is anticipated that that the initial two years will consist of two twelve month placements working at Senior Clinical Fellow level. Placements are based in either the North (Peterborough) , Central (Huntingdon) or the South (Cambridge) of the Trust in one of CAMHS community teams or inpatient units (Darwin or and the Croft). A further year can be arranged dependent on the professional and developmental needs of the candidate.
Throughout the programme the appointee will have three SPAs each week including a protected special interest day. This can be used for additional clinical experience such as crisis work and psychotherapy, development of non-clinical competencies and portfolio development.
The post holder will provide medical leadership to the respective teams maintaining the highest clinical standards in the assessment and management of patients with acute mental disorders and sharing responsibility for day to day management of the services
with active supervision from the designated Consultant Psychiatrist. The post holder will also be expected to attend and contribute to team meetings and clinical governance meetings and to be involved in teaching and training of junior staff, medical students and other disciplines.
