Full Job Description

There may be opportunities to facilitate independent clinics and theatre lists. Any available options will be explored further, following a review of the successful candidate's skill set and level of experience., This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a long established knee fellowship programme comprising the management of both soft tissue and osteoarthritis conditions.

You will have the opportunity to develop your management and surgical skills in Knee Surgery. You will be required to attend out-patient sessions and participate in an on-call rota for general trauma. There will also be an opportunity to participate in Clinical Research Projects. The department prides itself on team-working and close collaboration with the clinical colleagues to provide a high quality Orthopaedic service. The fellowship post involves regular independent operating lists and clinics.

A particular focus of the Fellowship is to allow significant exposure to Fixed Bearing Uni-compartmental Knee Replacement. Harrogate is a high volume centre and its results were recognised at the last GIRFT visit, being described as 'Exemplary'.

This post will involve outpatient sessions and the successful applicants will join a team of Consultants and a dynamic medical and nursing team. Please note, FRCS (Trauma and Orthopaedics) or equivalent is an essential requirement for this post. Additionally, CCT or CESR would be desirable.

£61,825 to £70,425 a year per annum, this will include on-call supplements
