Full Job Description

We are looking to recruit a Senior Clinical Site Practitioner to join our well-established team at King's College Hospital.

Site Operations is the nerve centre of the hospital and is responsible for patient flow and clinical support out of hours. The team works with the wider hospital 24/7 to achieve key targets including Emergency Access 4 hour targets and waiting lists. The work is varied and fast paced where no two days are the same.

This really is an amazing opportunity for someone who may have ambitions of working in senior management role whilst at the same time being an advanced clinical practitioner providing clinical support to the hospital during the out of hours period.

The shift requirement is to work long days and nights as well as weekends, some flexibility with shifts can be considered.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be required to:

- Lead patient flow across the hospital 24/7.

- Support flow out of the Emergency Department to achieve 4 hr emergency care standards and ensure patients are placed in the right bed, at the right time.

- Lead the Clinical Site Team service out of hours.

- Triage, assess, diagnose and treat inpatients, working as part of the Hospital at Night Team.

- Respond to cardiac arrest, fire, security and other emergency calls.

- Provide senior management support out of hours.

- In the absence of the senior manager on-call, be prepared to lead the hospital site during the out of hours period for major incident or business continuity incidents.

- Lead and develop junior members of the Clinical Site Team.

- Actively participate in educational activity, audit, research and quality improvement projects.
