Full Job Description

This is an opportunity for someone who wants to progress their career into senior IT management and comes with a substantial engagement element requiring a commitment to regular onsite working across multiple sites. As the interim Imaging systems manager you will manage a dedicated team supporting Trust Imaging IT systems including the radiology PACS. You will have day-to-day operational responsibility for ensuring that these systems are supported and maintained to support patient activity targets. You will ensure that these systems comply with DCB 0160 and are regularly tested to support the Trust's business continuity planning and preparation. The successful candidate will confidently communicate with a range of stakeholders from across the hospital, be technically conversant with imaging system architecture, combined with a clear understanding of radiology patient pathways / processes and IT service processes. Main duties of the job To be considered for this role candidates must demonstrate a strong understanding of radiology PACS, digital dentistry, RIS, IEP, and Vendor Neutral Archive (VNA) systems and be fully conversant with IT change, and radiology operational processes. They should be conversant with the national programme for digital diagnostics in relation to radiology services.,

  • Day to day leadership of IT Imaging systems team.
  • Actively manage and monitor radiology system's performance.
  • Systems are regularly tested biannually to support the Trust's business continuity planning and preparation.
  • Ensure that imaging IT systems comply with DCB 0129 & DCB0160 IT safety regulations.
  • Maintain regular engagement with radiology team senior stakeholders.
  • Manage and plan system updates and patches following IT change control process.
