What you'll be doing
- Build and maintain scalable, value-add data products for Finance, delivering insights and improving business outcomes.
- Work with structured and unstructured data, ensuring the stability of ETL processes and the integrity of our data systems.
- Embed Data Governance & Quality practices to future-proof our data infrastructure.
- Collaborate with analytical functions and business areas to align data requirements and develop innovative, data-driven solutions.
- Keep up with trends in data engineering and proactively identify opportunities for improvement.
Who you are
- Expert in coding languages like SQL and Python.
- Skilled in managing and maintaining data infrastructure (e.g., S3, EC2, Snowflake, Tableau Server).
Proven experience in building large-scale data processing systems and creating data-driven products that deliver commercial value.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, with an eye for detail and a commitment to data quality and governance.
- Excellent communicator who can collaborate across teams and explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience in agile working methodologies and a passion for continuous learning and improvement.

As part of the Finance Data Squad, you'll collaborate across Finance and Retail to build a new team of data experts. This team will transform how data is used to manage financial performance and drive business outcomes. The Squad will initially be managed within Retail and transfer to Finance in 2025, bringing best-in-class data practices with it.
You'll build and maintain scalable data products, drive a new approach to data in a cross-functional environment, and leverage multi-purpose data assets for insights that fuel business growth. Your work will cover key areas such as billing, debt management, ledgering, and actionable financial insights.
Pay, benefits and culture
In addition to a starting salary from £54,400 (dependent on experience), potential to earn 5% bonus, 28 days holiday plus bank holidays and a market-leading pension scheme, we offer a range of flexible benefits to support our people across all aspects of their lives.
