Senior Environmental Consultant (Geo Environment)

We specialise in geo environmental support for complex infrastructure developments and operations. We have successfully supported our clients in delivering sustainable projects in sectors including energy, industry, restoration projects, residential and port redevelopment. Due to continued growth in a variety of markets including onshore redevelopment we are looking to grow our team. Job Role: We are seeking an enthusiastic, optimistic, conscientious and talented person with excellent communication skills and technical ability in relation to the detailed geo environmental assessment reports for human health and controlled waters.

You will hold a degree in geology, engineering geology or a relevant environmental science discipline. It is also required that you have a full, preferably clean, driving licence. Desirable Attributes:

• Masters degree in a relevant discipline.
• Experience in ground investigation including soil and rock logging and gas and groundwater sampling and monitoring in contaminated land.
• A membership of an appropriate organisation with the aspirations to following a pathway to achieve professional qualifications.
This role might be right for you if you have:
• Experience in the delivery of geo environmental desk based studies (preliminary environmental risk assessments).
• Experience in the production of detailed geo environmental assessment reports including general/detailed quantitative risk assessments, options appraisals, remediation strategies, specifications, verification and validation reporting along with experience in scoping reports and environmental impact assessments. Experience in mineral, waste and hydrogeological risk assessments would also be advantageous.
• An excellent understand of regulatory and legal requirements in relation to contaminated land.
• Experience in dealing with the planning process in relation to contaminated land.
• Excellent track record in the review of reports prior to final approval. An eye for detail and the ability to make sure that our outputs are of consistently high quality.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, organisational, analytical and time management skills.
• Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
