Full Job Description

As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will provide support to the Biometrics and Identity Document Reading business area within HID Global. This is a business finance role focusing on financial planning, analysis, reporting and business partnering with the business area management team and key functions, including sales, marketing, operations and engineering. Set in a team of four, the role reports to the business area controller and has routine interactions with financial shared services for transactional support and group FP&A for financial reporting and planning., As our Senior Financial Analyst, you will support HID's success by:

  • Perform monthly analysis of Business Area financial results and prepare management presentations. Investigate variances from historical performance and against forecasts highlighting key business drivers.
  • Translate financial analysis into clear data-driven storylines and insights.
  • Create financial models to support P&L planning and analysis, with an in-depth understanding of revenues and costs.
  • Provide financial insights to aid in assessing risk and highlight opportunities to achieve the financial commitments.
  • Support the quarterly forecast and annual budgeting processes, including planning for spend, headcount, cost savings, and investments.
  • Work closely with the Financial Shared Services team to ensure accuracy of the business area financials.
  • Support the business area reporting requirements, both regular and ad-hoc.
  • Prepare financial presentations for business reviews and other executive meetings.
  • Partner with the business area management team and build strong working relationships.
  • Assist Business Area Controller in preparation of strategy requirements, including what-if scenario planning. Provide strategic guidance based on data driven analysis.
  • Proactively establish insightful analytics and develop the right operational processes that would enable the management team to "see around the corner".

  • Your Experience and Education include:
  • Bachelor's degree essential
  • Accounting qualification essential
  • Public accounting experience
  • 1-2 years of post-practice industry experience
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, advanced Excel skills essential
  • Practical knowledge of business intelligence tools, interest in BI development
  • Strong financial modeling and analytical skills
  • Experience with Oracle or similar ERP system
  • Experience with HFM or similar financial consolidation and reporting system.
