Full Job Description
These are relationship-focussed roles, not sales or delivery roles. Building your internal network and liaising with internal clients and stakeholders is as important as those externally. For many of our CREs, developing relationships with specific individuals and teams within the client organisation is an imperative. Our CREs play a central and important role within the account team, and are principally involved in:
- Working with market facing account teams to deliver against the strategic ambition, understanding the needs of our client(s), industry trends, and the full suite of offerings and ways in which we serve our clients
- Build and sustain exceptional client relationships with senior individuals at both the fund and portfolio, essential for follow on M&A exit-readiness and VDD opportunities.
- Understand the PE client's key investment criteria and leverage the full breadth of the firm's capabilities to support the client as they identify, invest, transform and exit investments
- Leading knowledge sharing amongst the team and providing team coaching on client challenges and trends; bringing the account team together to deliver client excellence
- Leveraging stakeholder relationships to drive action and act as the focal point of communications and activity on the account(s)
- Maintain financial oversight and reporting for the account, co-develop the annual business plan and recommend alternative pricing and delivery models
- Ensure the voice of the client is reflected in all that we do; work with colleagues to gather feedback and intelligence from client relationships to inform strategic decisions and actions
- Appropriately and effectively monitor the risk profile on the account(s) to which you are aligned and ensure effective compliance with contractual obligations
- Identify appropriate insights, thought leadership, assets and programmes which can be used to further engage our clients
- Share best practice and enhance the Client Relationship Programme community, be an advocate for and an active member of the team to strive for continuous improvement, and evolve the way in which we support our priority accounts. Connect to your skills and professional experience We are looking for candidates that are experienced in relationship/account management roles with a passion for client excellence and a curiosity for their clients' business.
- Excellent senior stakeholder management skills, where trusted peer relationships can be built
- Confidence with ambiguity; able to make pro-active decisions quickly
- Excellent project management skills, with a strong track record of executing projects and initiatives to tight deadlines
- Strong emotional intelligence, demonstrable success in building rapport and credibility with a range of people at different levels of seniority. Ability to adapt your style to create an impact that matters
- Quantitatively literate, confident with financial reporting and being able to spot the 'story behind the numbers' to identify trends and themes to recommend courses of action
- Understanding of and an ability to monitor risk
- Knowledge of and past work experience working within one of Deloitte's primary industries
- Experience of working within remote teams
- Using and promoting the engagement in CRM systems to generate powerful, actionable intelligence for the account(s)
- A confident presenter Desirable:
- Experience of a client serving role; knowledge of client take on procedures/processes
- Experience of working in a Private Equity firm or with Private Equity Clients
- Understanding how the PE&FI houses and the portfolio companies work and being able to build relationships at both levels
- Facilitation experience
- Professional services experience or knowledge of how a partnership structure operates
- Knowledge or experience of procurement, pricing and contracting
- Strategy & Ops, Business Development, or Engagement role experience
- Experience of working cross border/internationally
- Experience of working with Globally minded clients and helping Deloitte to deliver globally
