As part of our compliance team, you’ll work with the largest Gambling Operators, driving compliance at the earliest opportunity, leading our engagement activity across the compliance function and working to ensure consumer’s interests are at the heart of everything we do., You will be part of a new and exciting programme that:
• Leads through stakeholder landscape and the intricacies at work effectively; leading on integrated communications, engagement and involvement activity.
• Maintains positive relationships with critical stakeholders both internal and external and collaborate with industry supporting on education and engagement projects.
• Ensures policy is implemented effectively and the industry is complying with legislation; continually reviewing and improving the ways in which we engage to meet the challenges of the changing industry landscape.
• Develops Operator relationship strategy to organise and lead communications with Operators and GC colleagues, gather and share key insights, lead thematic projects and third party engagement
• Forges trusted relationships and have valuable interactions based on two way education, discussion and sharing of best practise/trends., Set up under the Gambling Act 2005, the Gambling Commission is committed to safeguarding the public against any detrimental impact brought about by gambling. We do this by keeping crime out, protecting children and vulnerable people and ensuring the commercial gambling industry is run fairly and openly. We work with the legal system, the public health system, community groups and the industry itself to understand how we can protect the interests of as many people as possible, as effectively as possible.

We’re looking for a proactive, passionate leader who can lead our engagement activity across the compliance function.
Essential:
• Proven experience of leading a team that drives industry engagement.
• Experience of leading and delivering a successful account management strategy.
• Experience of influencing senior stakeholders to uphold the high professional standards while driving change.
• Expertise in managing competing priorities across a diverse programme of activities within tight deadlines to deliver results.
• Broad skills and experience of successfully delivering engagement strategy with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to plan and direct industry engagement and associated engagement events that includes travel.
Desirable:
• An understanding of the gambling industry.
• Ability to interpret legislation, regulations and legislative changes and understand how this will impact our work.

• FTE salary of £52000
