The Revenue Assurance team plays a key role in ensuring the robustness of OVO's PAYGO revenue streams, supporting our mission of minimising revenue leakage and maintaining financial performance, which is a vital part of our Plan Zero objectives., The Senior Manager, PAYG Revenue Assurance is responsible for establishing and leading the Revenue Assurance function for the PAYGO business. This role will involve developing strategic initiatives, ensuring the alignment of revenue assurance controls with business objectives, and driving collaboration across different journey owners.,

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and lead the RA strategy for PAYGO, ensuring alignment with OVO's commercial objectives.
  • Revenue Monitoring: Analyse revenue leakage to identify opportunities to optimise revenue assurance processes.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with journey owners, finance, data and operations teams to embed RA controls.
  • Team Development: Build and manage the RA team, ensuring capability and continuous development.
  • Within your first 6 months month you'll:
  • Establish a fully operational RA function with clear roles, responsibilities, and workflows.
  • Embed a comprehensive revenue assurance control framework covering 80% of the identified Revenue Gap.
  • Drive continuous reduction in PAYGO revenue leakage, with clear financial reporting on gap reductions.
  • Lead a high-performing RA team that operates independently and delivers measurable improvements in process efficiency and revenue protection.
  • Lead monthly RA SteerCo meetings articulating financial impacts.
  • Ensure alignment of revenue leakage mitigation controls with journey owners.

    Have strong analytical skills to identify revenue trends and insights.
  • Are adept at strategic leadership, aligning activities with commercial goals.
  • Have proven experience in a revenue assurance, finance, or risk management role, ideally within the energy or utilities sector.
  • Have experience leading cross-functional teams and influencing senior stakeholders to drive business improvements and align on financial objectives.
  • Have previous experience in leading projects or initiatives related to revenue leakage prevention, process optimisation, or risk management within a large organisation.
  • Have a track record of successful delivery of improvement programmes, demonstrating quantifiable results in gap reduction or financial benefit realisation.
  • Have knowledge of PAYGO/pay-as-you-go business models and familiarity with associated customer journeys (e.g., Join/Move/Leave, Top-Up & Balance).
