Full Job Description

Senior Manager Strategic Partnerships will report to the Director of International Partnerships and is responsible for managing Airline partnerships and American Express stakeholders across international markets with focus on Canada, Mexico and Germany. Through these partnerships and unique value proposition you will drive new opportunities for American Express Travel and partner portfolio whilst delivering sales and revenue targets. Applicants should be able to demonstrate strong relationship and negotiation skills in a multimarket environment with experience of stakeholder management and revenue generation. Other Key Responsibilities:

  • Supports the Global Amex Travel Strategy at market level.
  • Provides market intelligence to support deal negotiations balancing commercial terms for Amex Travel, card member value and partner goals
  • Manages implementation of new partnerships and renewal strategy for existing partnerships.
  • Collaboratively works with other Amex Business enterprises across global markets driving common goals.

    Strong customer orientation, able to understand & interpret premium customers' needs
  • High level of motivation and ability to work under own initiative, specifically able to work across multiple time zones, with an entrepreneurial mindset
  • Analytical - Able to read and analyse data, and make recommendations to internal and external stakeholders, protecting both partner value and revenue goals
  • Innovative and creative thinker, prepared to challenge status quo and find creative solutions to problems.
  • Experience in supplier negotiations
  • Experience in managing complex stakeholder management, and be able to demonstrate dealing with difficult scenarios,
  • Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and presentation skills (both written and oral)
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of GDS and airline revenue management
  • Fluent in Spanish
