Senior Pharmacy Technician

We have 2 exciting opportunities to work at HMP Peterborough as part of the Pharmacy team. We provide an integrated healthcare model working closely with primary care, the mental health, substance misuse and G.Ps to deliver a healthcare service to the residents of HMP Peterborough., The post holder will work as an active member of the healthcare team to ensure the delivery of a legal, safe, high quality pharmaceutical service, which includes physical health, mental health and substance misuse medications to patients within HMP Peterborough. The service will reflect National and Local Policies and Priorities, taking into account the level of security that must be maintained at all times.

The successful candidates will have responsibility for completing accurate medicines reconciliations, the safe and timely administration of medication and general responsibilities relating to medicine management, ensuring a complete medicines management service is provided to the patients.

We are seeking to appoint 2 pharmacy technicians with a wide range of experience to join our pharmacy team, the successful candidates will demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of local/national pharmacy procedures., The successful candidate will be innovative, forward thinking, diverse and can work autonomously, you will also need to demonstrate excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
