Full Job Description

As the Senior Procurement Manager, you will lead our procurement function, aligning activities with organisational goals while ensuring transparency, efficiency and cost-effectiveness. You will develop procurement strategies, manage supplier relationships and drive compliance with company policies and industry regulations. Your role will be pivotal in professionalising our procurement processes and balancing strategic vision with operational excellence. This role sits with the Performance and Transformation portfolio and reports into Finance Director.

Major objectives

Develop and implement a comprehensive procurement strategy
Identify and deliver cost savings without compromising quality
Enhance supplier relationship management and performance
Ensure compliance with procurement policies and regulations
Lead and develop the procurement team to achieve operational excellence
Drive innovation in procurement processes and systems

We are seeking a highly experienced procurement professional with a strategic mindset and strong leadership skills. The ideal candidate will have a CIPS qualification and a proven track record in senior procurement roles. You should excel in negotiation, contract management and strategic sourcing. We value someone who can balance short-term gains with long-term strategic goals, demonstrate commercial acumen and effectively influence at all levels of the organisation. A proactive 'can-do' attitude, analytical thinking, and a passion for procurement excellence are essential for success in this role.
