Full Job Description

We're looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Natural Resources and Nuclear team based in Bury St Edmunds., As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you'll be working within the UK Power Network team, supporting them in the delivery of set commercial objectives in relation to profitability and cash collection and providing commercial advice to operational counterparts. Your day to day will include:

  • Ensuring that business targets and client KPI's are exceeded and that problems are identified and resolved at an early stage.
  • Producing and provide cash flow forecasts, budgets, financial and contractual performance forecasts to the management team including the external stakeholders.
  • Carry out budget preparation and dissemination and ensure that managers are briefed and are able to monitor and react to budget variances
  • Review monthly CVRs with team prior to submission to Managing Quantity Surveyor/Commercial Manager. Ensure month end reporting is compliant with business timescales and that commercial and administrative systems, budgets, and cost control procedures are utilised.
  • Operate risk and opportunity schedules as a live document taking responsibility for developing mitigation measures where risks are identified.

    Experience at a senior level in relevant industry or equivalent
  • Possess an appropriate qualification and have sound commercial and business knowledge.
  • Must have a thorough understanding of NEC suite of contracts or similar.
  • You have excellent IT skills specifically within Microsoft Office and similar software.
