Senior R&D Engineer

We are looking for a Senior R&D Engineer to oversee the day-to-day operation of a variety of test rigs, create plans for forthcoming tests and to plan servicing and maintenance of the facilities in conjunction with the Principal Engineer and Test Engineer.,

• To assist the Design Office engineers and managers to define test requirements and suitable test facilities and to assist with test procedure definition.
• To assist with the design, procurement and build of test rigs to meet the identified test objectives
• To take responsibility for running of test programmes and/or delegate to the Test Engineer.
• To write and/or approve reports following test programmes including complex and/or safety critical tests.
• To represent the department in various meeting such as the Projects Meetings, ensuring effective two-way communication is upheld.
• To take overall responsibility for the functionality of the equipment in the department, ensuring that it is fit for purpose and that scheduled maintenance, servicing and calibration is identified in a timely manner.
• To support the creation of product, system and component test and validation plans
• To continuously monitor our performance and requirements and where necessary suggest improvements.
  
  Have previous experience within a state-of-the-art component testing within, Gearbox sub-components and assemblies, Hydraulic systems, Oil systems or Brake systems
• Have Experience of Dyno or Test Rig/Facility projects from initial requirements through to concept design, build, commissioning, and testing
• Be educated to degree level within an Engineering discipline or equivalent
• Possess experience within control software such as PUMA, CADET, MTS Flextest, System Monitor, etc, as well as Data analysis experience using tools such as Concerto, ATLAS, MATLAB, VBA etc.
