An exciting opportunity for Band 7 Senior Specialist Dietitian to join the the SET CAMHS Eating Disorder Service.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the SET CAMHS Eating Disorder Service. The successful applicant will support this innovative multidisciplinary team in delivering the latest evidence based dietetic support to clients , carers and families of children and young people who access the services. The team is committed to delivering the highest quality service to enable service users live the life they want. This opportunity gives the successful candidate the chance to influence the success of this innovative Eating Disorder service
We are looking for applicants who have enthusiasm for working in specialist mental health services, who are adaptable; enjoy variety, can working independently as well as understanding the importance of team working. You will form part of our patient focused service, providing a high quality, accurate and timely service., We are looking for a dietician to to support in our new Intensive Day Programme for the SET CAMHS Eating Disorder Service to support preventing child being admitted to TIER 4 settings and to support and offer a intensive community package to children & young people with eating disorders.
Key roles and responsibilities:
+ Working closely with the multidisciplinary team in assessing, implementing, monitoring and evaluating a dietetic programme of care for service users with an eating disorder.
+ Ensuring that dietary recommendations are communicated by utilizing the highest level of interpersonal skills to all members of the team and incorporated in the service users overall package of care.
+ Attending weekly MDT meetings to provide expert advice to clinicians regarding the progression of nutrition support which is evidence based. This will involve nutritional assessment to include calculation of nutritional requirements based on the interpretation of biochemistry, anthropometry, clinical condition and other physical parameters.
+ Maintaining professional standards through ongoing continuing professional development, audit and evaluation in accordance with the Health and Care Professions Council Standards and Trust Policies and Procedures., NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop-in sessions focusing on engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.

We are providing an intensive support pathway commissioned by the East Of England to support young people remaining at home during recovery. This role as a Senior Specialist Dietitian will be working within this pathway. These forms of treatment have the potential to minimise inpatient admissions (including out-of-area placements), reduce length of stay in inpatient settings and improve experience of discharge from inpatient care as set out in the NHS Long Term Plan. You will need to be passionate about delivering high quality care to complex mental health service users and be innovative in your approach to helping us in developing new pathways within the NHS transformation agenda., + Degree / Diploma in Nutrition & Dietetics and a minimum of 2 years post registration experience in Dietetics
+ Clinical experience in Eating Disorders
+ Registered with Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC)
+ Knowledge of nutrition and dietetics and its application to Adult and Child/young person eating disorders
