Full Job Description

As IoT is a fast growing segment in the IT area, Vodafone Group is continuously developing its own IoT Services and Products to target a strategic evolution designed specifically to meet the needs of Global IoT customers. To ensure the success of the Vodafone IoT strategy, Service Design plays a central role in successfully delivering complex solutions to market. This is being achieved by addressing business and technical requirements, coordinating stakeholders and creating documentation to support the project Go Live. With these activities you will have a great impact on our business:

  • Assess the business requirements and the technical solution to define the impact of the IoT product/service on the Sell-Build-Run lifecycle [e.g. Customer On-boarding, Order & Logistics, Billing, In-Life Support];
  • Cooperate with and coordinate different departments of the company [e.g. Commercial, Product Management, Legal, Technology Architecture, Customer Service] and get the necessary information and support for the definition of customer-centric service solution proposals;
  • Design efficient business processes based on continuous improvement and industry best practices;
  • Supporting the selection of suppliers to deliver shared & managed services: define requirements, select supplier, and participate in contract negotiation.
  • Create the Service Design specific documentation and ensure that the E2E technical solution is aligned with the service design principles and the market specific operating model;
  • Take part in the activities related to defining operational and vendor support and alignment on SLAs and KPIs offered.

    University degree, with preference on technology [e.g. engineering, telecommunications, computer science];
  • Proven knowledge of, and process design experience within core Telecom operational processes & related systems
  • Experience in one of the following areas: IT business analysis, process modelling and design, IT Service Management, project coordination;
  • Working knowledge of UX design and best practice
  • Stakeholder management and proven ability to operate within a geographically dispersed matrix organization;
  • Familiar working with design tools (e.g. Visio, Aris);
  • Good understanding of how telecom networks and applications work together and customer lifecycle framework;
  • Proven abilities to persuade and influence others using a variety of communication styles;
  • Strong facilitation and negotiation skills, having worked within multi-disciplinary virtual teams, ideally in the telecoms or IT sector, providing complex solutions
  • High degree of flexibility and ability to manage multiple tasks within tight deadlines;
  • Desired:
  • Experience in IT/Telecom Industry;
  • Certifications in ITIL/Prince2/PMP/Agile/BA
  • Proven experience of working in complex projects in IT/Telecom domains, involved in creating deliverables and obtaining sign-off from key stakeholders;
  • Passionate about new technologies and developments in the telecom industry in order to understand how customers can benefit from it;
  • Demonstrable knowledge of IoT products and services or general understanding of how IoT works;
  • Eager to improve yourself everyday by constantly learning and applying new skills;

  • Discretionary yearly bonus: 10%
