As the GB Consulting Service Line Senior Operations Manager for Commerciality you will play a key role in the financial analysis and modelling of both short-term tactical commercial decisions and longer-term strategic commercial planning and summarising your findings and recommendations to ensure that key business decisions are informed by the impact they will have on the profitability of GB Consulting. The opportunity You will be directly exposed to some of the most exciting strategic developments affecting the evolution of the GB Consulting business. The role reports to the GB Consulting Service Line Operations Director (SLOD) and is a key support to the Consulting Leadership Team (CLT). The Senior Operations Manager for Commerciality will play a pivotal role in enhancing the commercial management of the business, leveraging advanced financial modelling, data analytics and automation to deliver actionable insights. The Senior Operations Manager is part of GB CBS and will form a key part of the Consulting Operations teams, leading or contributing to initiatives on a Consulting wide basis as required. You will be expected to demonstrate your ability to balance risk and opportunities, be able to see the bigger picture and have the capability to influence and lead in a multi-disciplinary environment. You will have strong performance integrity and be able to act on behalf of the GB Consulting SLOD on commerciality matters. The role can be performed within the United Kingdom. Your key responsibilities

  • Create and manage dynamic dashboards and data visualisation tools to deliver insights on financial performance and commercial metrics and undertake financial analysis that brings together real engagement data, Mercury engagement level data and Mercury P&L data to enable the assessment of profitability and drive commercial decision making. Bring together the Markets' and Operations' views. Summarise findings and recommendations to the GB Consulting SLOD / COO / CLT;
  • Financial modelling of tactical decisions and strategies to improve revenue and gross margin per Partner such as pricing policies, long term transformational engagements and key commercial investment decisions. Summarise findings and recommendations to the GB Consulting SLOD / COO / CLT;
  • Data and process automation of key financial and operational processes within Consulting, improving efficiency and reducing manual workload;
  • Apply AI technologies to enhance financial analysis and provide predictive insights that will support smarter commercial strategies;
  • Lead / contribute to other SL strategic and operational projects and communicate findings and recommendations as required;
  • Build and maintain a network with peers cross SL / CBS and Region eg EMEIA, FSO and other UK&I Service lines.

    The successful candidate is expected to have a strong background in financial analysis, process automation, and AI-driven solutions, with experience in leveraging PowerBI and similar tools to support commercial decision making.
  • Deep commercial experience via the analysis of engagement performance in a professional services context
  • Financial modelling experience and strong Excel skills
  • Expertise in developing and managing PowerBI dashboards to support commercial decision making
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
