Full Job Description

The role will include supporting the child within the mainstream classroom and the wider school environment, carrying out 1:1 intervention work under the supervision of the SENco and speech therapist and working closely with the SENCo to review progress towards EHCP targets.

Experience of delivering a range of 1: 1 and small group interventions for autistic learners would be beneficial in addition to knowledge of adaptive teaching approaches. As a sessional position, the hours will be as and when required.

Kent College is a co-educational school with a Methodist foundation. The school is located in Canterbury, just one hour from the centre of London by train. The Junior School has some 200 children and is set on an idyllic 14-acre campus.
