We are seeking a talented and experienced Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our dynamic team. As an SRE at EMIS, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and improving the reliability, scalability, and performance of our healthcare software systems. You will work closely with our development and Platform teams to ensure our services are resilient, efficient, and continuously improving.

What you'll do
As a tech for good business, the customer is at the heart of everything we do. You will be responsible for maintaining our cloud-based applications and services to ensure optimal performance, cost, reliability, and scalability as part of the Platform Team on an Agile Release Train.
Day to day, your responsibilities and accountabilities will include;
Implementing infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation to ensure consistent and reproducible environments
Monitoring and analysing system performance using tools like DataDog to identify and address issues before they become problems
Setup alerting and operational monitoring procedures to ensure teams are notified of issues.
Define monitoring standards for cloud services and support teams in implementation.
Collaborate with development teams to design and implement reliable and scalable software systems., Working with our customers, we are leading the way in the delivery of patient centred, connected, digitally enabled health and care services. We are seeking a talented and experienced Site Reliability Engineer with a strong focus on AWS and DataDog to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cloud infrastructure and experience working with monitoring and logging tools like DataDog.
You will most likely have (if not all, some);
Proven experience as a Site Reliability Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or similar role.
Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
Proficiency in scripting and automation (Python, Bash, Terraform, or similar).
Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.).
Solid understanding of networking, security, and system administration
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Strong communication and collaboration skills
