Full Job Description

Please note that this position is part-time for 16 hours a week with a pro-rata salary from £9,949 per annum. A unique opportunity has arisen to become part of our dynamic and busy Visual Arts Department. We are looking for a Digital Skills Practitioner that can support our students in a variety of techniques and processes to facilitate them in their creative courses In your role as a Skills Practitioner you will liaise with internal and external customers/stakeholders as necessary or required, provide feedback to students that will aid successful progression and achievement and stock control, to include ordering and issuing of supplies. You will provide Learning/Technical support to staff and students within the Division and to undertake assessment and quality assurance duties as required by the College and awarding bodies.

We are seeking to appoint an organised and efficient member to our team who has excellent communication skills and can facilitate learners on tasks. You will also provide demonstrations as required in class to aid the delivery of outstanding provision within EKC Group. The successful candidate will be familiar with the following programmes:

  • Adobe Creative Suite programs
  • working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign.
  • Knowledge of After Effects would be advantageous.
  • You will have recent experience in a relevant area, and experience of education or involvement in training in the workplace. You will be able to work with young people to achieve and succeed their full potential aligned with the culture and ethos of the Group. The successful candidate will have a key responsibility for Instilling and upholding strong Health & Safety standards in practical environments and will purchase resources and materials within budget.
