Full Job Description

The SME & Super User Programme Lead is responsible for the strategic direction, co-ordination and project management of the Subject Matter Expert (SME) and Super User initiatives within the One Devon EPR Programme. These initiatives will ensure that the EPR programme has effective levels of operational support throughout the implementation lifecycle and that SMEs, Superusers and other key stakeholders remain engaged, informed and supported, throughout the EPR implementation including go-live and stabilisation periods. As a key part of the initiatives, the post holder will also be responsible for the planning, coordination and oversight of end user support at Trust go-lives, including the management of visiting external floorwalkers and will foster close working relationships with EPR Training Teams, Communications and Engagement Teams, CXIOs and Programme and Operational Leadership,

  • Responsible for the planning and organisation of numerous events/meetings to engage and educate SMEs, Super Users & other floor support
  • Demonstrate effective stakeholder management across different departments and at all levels
  • Support other project, programme and workstream managers as and when required
  • Ensure that the initiatives maintain business focus, have clear authority and that the context, including risks, are actively managed in alignment with the EPR Programme Guiding Principles
  • Working for our organisation Why Work With Us As part of the Centralised Programme Team you will be expected to work with colleagues from across the Programme Team and the wider One Devon organisations to ensure a truly collaborative and aligned implementation. You will work as part of the centralised One Devon Programme Team, liaising with stakeholders from across Royal Devon University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust and University Hospitals Plymouth to ensure the EPR Programme is successfully implemented across the region. The EPR Programme team is rapidly expanding as we move towards implementation, and this is an exciting time for our Trusts as we collaborate to deliver this unique programme of transformation across Devon.,
  • Operate effectively in a flexible and demanding environment and proactively engage with Trust clinical and operational staff, Epic and other supplier staff and patients and public as required
  • Work effectively with a variety of stakeholders and programme leads working on other projects and workstreams within the EPR Programme as required
  • Work with programme change teams to apply a structured change management approach and methodology for the impact of any change
  • Develop a comprehensive and cohesive Super User programme approach, including the approach to recruitment, education and readiness
  • Develop a comprehensive and cohesive go-live floor support plan
  • Contribute to the strategic planning of programme workstreams and, identifying interdependencies with other workstreams and organisational activities including potential impacts on wider organisation, resource requirements and building in contingency and adjustments as necessary
