Full Job Description

The successful candidate will join the Urology team consisting of 8 consultants, 5 middle grades and a team of specialist nurses and junior doctors. Duties will include supporting both inpatient and outpatient services, dividing time between the operating theatres, wards, day surgery unit, diagnostic centre and clinics. The Trust provides a range of urological services; surgery offered includes, but is not limited to, robotic & laparoscopic work (nephrectomies, pyeloplasty, adrenalectomy); stone & endourology including PCNL and ureteroscopic laser & ESWL; prostate surgery including TURPs & UroLift, pelvic floor surgery, pelvic endometriosis surgery, paediatric urological surgery, bladder surgery including TURBTs, Botox work and general urological day-case procedures such as circumcisions and hydrocoeles., Individual job plans will be discussed with the post holder on appointment, with the Clinical Director to finalise the job plan which will become operational on commencement. All job plans are agreed in line with the Trusts Job Planning Principles.
