Ward 28 based at Scunthorpe General Hospital is a busy 18 bedded Elective surgical ward for pre and post operative patients undergoing a wide range of surgical procedures in general surgery, colorectal, urology. We also have 2 x 4 bedded high observation bays where patients who have had more complex surgeries/conditions are cared for.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and confident nurse with excellent verbal, written, interpersonal and communication skills who will support the ward to maintain high standards of care.

This is an exciting opportunity to gain skills in working in acute care of the surgical patient. All applicants should demonstrate a keen interest in care of the surgical patient and previous experience within a surgical setting would be extremely desirable although not essential.

Together we employ nearly 20,000 staff. Our five main hospital sites are Diana, Princess of Wales Hospital, Scunthorpe General Hospital and Goole and District Hospital, for NLAG and Hull Royal Infirmary and Castle Hill Hospital for HUTH.
