Full Job Description

This is an opportunity for an enthusiastic and dedicated administrator to join the University's Academic Registry directorate. Academic Registry's primary function is to oversee and deliver a broad range of services, which support and enhance the University's academic mission, acting as a key enabler for the delivery of its Education and Student Experience Strategy., The Academic Registry is seeking to appoint 2 highly skilled Student Cases Officers to undertake a challenging and rewarding role; to provide effective administrative support and guidance in the operation and delivery of our student appeals and complaints processes. Based in the Academic Policy & Quality team, you will work closely with, and report to, the Student Cases Manager in the processing and support of student case work. This will entail work on a range of tasks that includes preparing and reviewing case files, providing support for staff training, and information gathering for reporting and analysis purposes. You will liaise with a wide range of stakeholders both internally and externally to the University, including academic and senior University staff. You will need to have excellent communication and team working skills together with a meticulous eye for detail, the ability to use your own initiative and to think critically. Experience of working within a complaint resolution, and/or policy and regulatory driven environment is desirable. The post will be located on the Fourth Floor of the Nancy Astor Building on the University's main campus. We have two vacancies available, both on a fixed-basis to cover a period of maternity leave for up to 12 months as follows:

  • A full-time position working 37 hours per week across five days a week
  • A part-time position working 21 hours per week across five days a week
