Full Job Description
We are looking for several full- and part-time Administrators to join our Student and Programme Support (SPS) Teams at our Frenchay and Glenside Campuses. These roles are offered on a maternity cover basis until dates in autumn 2025., As an SPS Administrator, you will work collaboratively with academic and professional service teams to deliver a high quality service aimed at helping students achieve success in their studies. The responsibilities of the team are extremely varied and touch on almost every aspect of the student journey, from the moment they arrive at UWE until their graduation and beyond., Interviews will take place at the University's Frenchay campus during the week commencing Monday 2 December.
UWE Bristol is a campus-based University and it is vital to our success and the delivery of an outstanding experience for our students that our campuses are dynamic and vibrant places to learn and spend time. This role is therefore campus based for at least 60 percent of your time, with the opportunity to work from home on the remaining days when appropriate.

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with a wide range of administrative experience in a professional office environment. Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise competing demands are key in this role.
The successful postholder will have good IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office, as well as experience in working with complex database systems. The ability to manipulate data and produce basic reports is essential in this role.
Team working is an integral part of everything the SPS team does and you will have the ability to communicate effectively and build strong relationships with a range of stakeholders across the university.

There will be times when workloads are high and it is therefore essential that you are resilient, flexible and able to approach your work in a calm and professional manner.

Within SAS, the Student & Programme Support Team (SPS) plays an important role in managing the student record from registration through to graduation, including the assessment processes. Some examples of the tasks we are responsible for are: supporting students to register on a course; managing their assessments to ensure documentation is accurately prepared to be considered at examining boards; clerking various meetings, including exam boards; and the publication of students' results. The ability to work as part of a team and to be able to build effective working relationships with colleagues at all levels is essential.
