Full Job Description

We are pleased to offer the exciting opportunity for a fixed-term (24 months) Support Officer in Direct Payments Team within the wider Adult Support Services Financial Services Team. This is a fast paced and developing service. Our professional and experienced team delivers the financial support functions for Adult Social Care at Gloucestershire County Council, to people who are particularly vulnerable due to their care and assistance needs. You will be responsible for managing a variety of administrative functions across the Direct Payment Team, including the transactional management of prepaid cards, handling of customer queries and payments and invoices management. The post is based at Shire Hall in Gloucester. We offer flexible working with a mix of office and home working.

You will already have experience in administration support function, desirably within a financial sector. You will have processed invoices or other procurement related activities. You will be highly IT literate with an excellent working knowledge of relevant financial procedures. You will understand the Care Act 2014 and other relevant legislation as our team ensures all processes and activities are compliant with the charging provisions of this legislation. You will have worked with management information, including presenting management information using reports, tables and graphs. You will have good communication skills, verbal and written.,
