Full Job Description

Within the service there are two Pathways, this post will work in Pathway 2, which provides accommodation support for up to 2 years in hostels and dispersed properties across the County. Our support helps young people access education, employment, and/or training to helps them develop the skills needed to live independently and manage a tenancy. You will line manage and support the operational team (under the direction of the Service Manager) with all aspects of the day-to-day management of service. The role is vital in ensuring that teams are working effectively with clients and alongside partner agencies; ensuring safeguarding issues are addressed, and quality and performance targets are kept on track. You may also be required to deputise for the Service Manager, and this may mean working in other areas when necessary. RACS RACS is a North Yorkshire County wide service that provides housing related support services for high and medium level risk offenders, supervised by The National Probation Service (NPS) or local Community Rehabilitation Company (CRC). We support offenders to access suitable accommodation, or remain in their own homes, reducing the risk of reoffending, as well as avoiding eviction and homelessness to reduce the need for more intensive support. The service provides support through the provision of supported accommodation for up to a maximum of 2 years. The Team Leader line manages and supports the operational team (under the direction of the Service Manager) with all aspects of the day-to-day management of service. The role is vital in ensuring that teams are working effectively with clients and alongside partner agencies; ensuring safeguarding issues are addressed, and quality and performance targets are kept on track. Team Leaders can also be required to deputise for the Service Manager, and this may mean working in other areas when necessary., Have experience of leading a team and want to be part of an organisation creating a world where everyone matters? Then this could be the job for you! As a Team Leader, you will be working within our Young Peoples Pathway (YPP) and Resettlement and Community Safety Scheme (RACS). You'll be a vital part of these teams; you'll be involved in a variety of tasks that keep our housing services running smoothly and to the highest standards. Our Young People's Pathway offers young people the necessary support, advice, and mediation to enable them to stay in their present accommodation. If it is not possible for someone to remain at home, we have a variety of accommodation options to suit their needs. Our Resettlement and Community Safety provides housing-related support services for high and medium-risk offenders across North Yorkshire. Our mission is to empower individuals by helping them access suitable accommodation or maintain their current homes, thereby reducing the risk of reoffending and preventing homelessness. You'll oversee the day-to-day management of the team of experienced housing support workers, ensuring that both client and staff welfare needs are met. You will also take responsibility for Foundation premises, keeping them safe and well-maintained.

    Foundation is the lead provider of the North Yorkshire County Council's Young Persons Pathway. The Pathway provides a multi-agency service across the County to young people aged 16-25 years who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. The service works with those whose family relationships have broken down where the young person is not able to stay at /return home, and young people leaving care.
