As a Purchasing Team Specialist the primary purpose is to drive strategic supplier relationships, optimise commercial value, enhance pricing strategies, upsell and drive additional opportunity. Your role is essential in ensuring the availability of high-quality products and services, contributing to our company's competitiveness and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities

  • Strategic Supplier Relationships: Collaborate with Internal and external stageholders to cultivate and maintain strategic relationships with key suppliers in the industry.
  • Quotation Management: Take ownership of quotation requests, working in close collaboration with Suppliers, Vendors, Vendor Alliances, Order Management, and Sales teams to provide customers with superior service and added value.
  • Negotiation Expertise: Negotiate with distributors, vendors, and partners to secure favourable commercial outcomes and accurate pricing for Bell and its customers.
  • Route Development: Research, develop, and improve market routes based on customer and internal needs, establishing relationships to meet desired Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Compliance and Onboarding: Collaborate with Vendor Alliances, Legal, and Compliance teams to ensure supplier adherence to Bells onboarding procedures and compliance standards.
  • Value-Added Sales: Utilise vendor partner programs and cross/upsell strategies to enhance the relevance and end-to-end margin on quotes.
  • Process Exellence: Maintain rigorous internal processes to ensure accurate and policy-compliant quotations.
  • Utilisation of Tools and Portals: Acquire expertise in and utilise all available tools and portals to reduce the cost of sale and provide added value to purchasing processes.
  • International Market Expansion: Contribute to expanding Bells presence in international markets by identifying and collaborating with suppliers across multiple geographies.

    Knowledge of the IT channel and various routes to market.
  • Creative and critical thinking skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software, such as Salesforce.
  • Strong teamwork skills and the ability to manage and prioritise personal workload effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills for articulating complex ideas to internal stakeholders and clients.
  • A proactive approach to leading value discussions.
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
