Full Job Description

A band 3 Therapy Assistant post opportunity has become available within Leeds and York Partnership Foundation Trust's based Learning Disability Service. The role involves supporting learning disabled adults who require specialist health support due to their complex physical, sensory, communication and behavioural impairments., Under the guidance and supervision of the teams' clinicians to carry a caseload taking responsibility for implementing and reinforcing health management care plans using a range of nursing and therapeutic techniques.

- To participate in health assessments and monitoring through pre-set directed observations and information gathering, liaising with service users and carers and other agencies.

- To provide and monitor the implementation of basic therapy equipment under the direction of a clinician.

- To support the checking, managing and session planning of the hydrotherapy and rebound specialist environments collaborating with the physiotherapists and senior support workers
