Full Job Description

This intensive training will equip the post holder to provide CBT to clients with a range of common mental health problems, applying their newly learnt skills to a caseload of patients three days a week. Candidates who do not meet recognised core mental health profession requirements must submit a Knowledge, Skills and Attitudes (KSA) portfolio. A KSA portfolio has a number of criteria which must all be met by every applicant. There are some professional backgrounds which mean that the applicant has already met a number of the criteria, and can therefore provide a condensed KSA.   • Degree level qualification (relevant mental health subject is preferable)or
  • Core Profession Qualificationor
  • Low Intensity CBT Qualification (PWP), with 2 years post qualification experience (from the date of the qualifying exam board) as of 16/10/24
  • to join our team as a Trainee Cognitive Behavioural Therapist. Successful candidates will work within the Talking Therapies service, providing high intensity interventions whilst undertaking the 12 month Post-Graduate Diploma in High Intensity Psychological Interventions training course at University of Sheffield., Candidates from a core professional background should demonstrate a minimum of 2 years post qualification experience. Candidates from a non-registered professional background will need to demonstrate a minimum of 2 years post qualification experience, alongside their ability to meet the relevant criteria outlined in the KSA.
