Training Programme Director - Medical Ophthalmology | NHS England

· The Training Programme Director in Medical Ophthalmology will support the Head of School in the Strategic Development of the School of Medicine. · The post holder will lead on the development of the School's Recruitment and Retention Strategy and contribute to supporting the School Operational Programme.

· Please note this is a 3-year secondment extendable to a maximum of three years, subject to mutual agreement. · Work in collaboration with Head of School of Medicine to develop and implement a Medical Workforce Strategy which supports the recruitment and retention of Medical Ophthalmology Trainees with focus on the regional education programs. Colleagues with a contractual office base are expected to spend, on average, at least 40% of their time working in-person. Staff recruited from outside the NHS will usually be appointed at the bottom of the pay band.
