Are you an experienced transport administrator looking for a position that you can really make a difference in? Do you like the idea of supporting the transport function on a brand-new key contract for one of the biggest, fastest-growing names in logistics? Are you ready for your next challenge?
We're looking for a Transport Coordinator, to co-ordinate the transport operations of the depot in order to achieve business objectives and the needs of the customer. Working Monday to Friday core hours (with some flexibility - this is logistics after all).

We're looking to offer a salary of up to £27,105 per annum. In addition, we offer 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days. What you'll do on a typical day:
-You will dispatch routes to achieve contractual delivery times, conducting remedial planning to effectively manage live changes to the plan.
-Ensure all administrative traffic duties are carried out as necessary and to a high level of accuracy and professionalism
-To ensure that details of vehicle accidents are escalated to line management
-To ensure that defected vehicles are recorded on traffic sheets
-To ensure that the procedure for damaged deliveries is followed where necessary
-To use all IT based systems in the effective delivery of their role including YMS, Sphere & WTS
-Ensures that appropriate communication methods are used to provide information to both internal and external customers as required e.g. debrief of drivers, dealing with customer issues etc.
-To ensure that all traffic planning activity is undertaken in line with legislative requirements
-To ensure compliance with Company Health & Safety requirements highlighting any concerns to line management
-Conduct relevant QHSE activities: Care Cards, Bsafe, Safety Conversations etc
-To identify and highlight to management any potential improvement opportunities
-Manage all third-party contractors whilst on site including subcontractors, agency, and maintenance providers
-Carry out resource planning for agency drivers
-End of day checks, making sure all keys are securely stored
-Entering timesheet data onto the Payroll spreadsheet
What you need to succeed at XPO:
-Previous experience within a transport / logistics organisation
-Experience of managing conflicting priorities in a fast-moving environment
-Ability to work under pressure and react quickly to customer requirements
-Effective Customer Service Skills
-Ability to take a creative approach to problem solving.
-Good geographical knowledge of the UK
-Knowledge of Health and Safety requirements
-Operational understanding of team roles
