Full Job Description

In short, We Enable Possibility ., We are looking for an Underwriter Assistant to join the International Property team to provide administrative and technical support with a specific focus on UK & European account.

This is an additional Full-Time position within the team to support the planned account expansion and would be predominately based in the London office.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

1. Data Input

Enter submissions, rating models, quotes and bound policies onto the Arch underwriting systems.

2. Account Administration

Assist the Underwriters with day-to-day underwriting operations.

Maintenance of appropriate business activity logs to record submission activity or premium activity.

Prepare Standard policy Documentation for underwriters' sign off.

Assist in preparation of management reports.

3. General Administration

File preparation, photocopying, scanning, document management.

Answering telephone calls and responding to emails.

Booking meeting rooms and assisting with organisation of client entertainment events.

4. Account Query resolution

Issue invoice statements when required.

Assist in the resolution of outstanding premium receivable issues.

Liaise with brokers on any outstanding information / documentation requirements.

5. Research

Undertake research activities for additional underwriting information from the Internet or other external sources.

Willingness to learn and contribute as part of a team.

Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

Organisational discipline with ability to work independently using initiative and without guidance.

Systematic worker with attention to detail.

Computer literate with basic knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel and Outlook.

Qualifications

University degree is preferrable but not required

Experience

Previous Insurance experience is preferrable but not required
