Full Job Description
As our Trainer - Childcare (Learning Assessor), you will play a crucial role in guiding learners to develop their skills, confidence, and professional knowledge in the workplace. You'll work closely with students and employers to help learners achieve their goals, providing hands-on support and ensuring they gain the practical experience needed to succeed in the childcare and health sectors. A significant focus of this role will involve working extensively with our T Level in Education and Early Years pathway, contributing to the development of future professionals in this essential field. In this role, you will spend the majority of your time in the workplace, assessing learners' progress against the key learning outcomes for their qualifications. By carrying out detailed and meaningful assessments, you'll ensure learners meet the standards required while helping them build the skills and confidence they need to excel. You'll manage a caseload of learners, developing strong relationships with local employers to secure impactful placements that enhance students' learning experiences. You'll also create and regularly review individual learning plans, tailoring your approach to meet the needs of each learner. By delivering practical skills training and providing personalised guidance, you'll equip students to apply their knowledge effectively in real-world settings. You'll take responsibility for developing work-based assessment materials, conducting assessments, and ensuring all activities align with awarding body requirements. Internal verification and quality assurance will also form part of your role, ensuring high standards are consistently maintained. Additionally, you'll provide one-to-one guidance and connect learners with specialist services where necessary, fostering a supportive and enriching learning environment. As part of your work with the T Level pathway, you'll play a significant role in preparing learners for their future careers by helping them navigate challenges and grow into skilled, confident professionals. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on learners' development and success. By combining workplace engagement, tailored support, and collaboration with employers, you'll help learners achieve their ambitions and contribute to their professional growth in a rewarding and impactful way.
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Trainer, Assessor, or Tutor with a strong background in childcare to join our Outstanding organisation. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by helping learners develop the essential skills, knowledge, and behaviours required for success in the childcare and health sectors. The ideal candidate will bring proven experience in assessing or training learners, particularly within the childcare field. You'll be confident in managing a caseload, conducting workplace assessments, and organising visits, all while fostering strong, positive relationships with employers. Excellent organisational and communication skills will be key, enabling you to coordinate effectively with teaching staff, learners, and workplace partners. In this variable hours role, flexibility and adaptability will be crucial, as you'll work in dynamic and diverse environments, spending much of your time in the workplace assessing learners and ensuring their progress against key learning outcomes. A collaborative approach is essential, as you'll work closely with employers and colleagues to provide a seamless and supportive learning experience. This is an excellent opportunity to not only contribute to the growth and success of learners but also to advance your own professional development within a supportive and forward-thinking educational environment.
