Full Job Description

This is an exciting volunteering role with our Community Mental Health Team supporting Older Peoples Mental Health in Offerton, Stockport. We are looking for a friendly, and enthusiastic person who has skills to help develop and run groups/activities within our Older Peoples Mental Health Services at The Meadows Hospital. We are looking for a friendly, and enthusiastic person who has experience in being a Carer for a loved one with Dementia If you want to gain experience, improve your job prospects, or just want to give some of your time to help others, this volunteering role could be for you!, The role is intended to enhance the experience of those people using our services by supporting and encouraging our service users to engage in the group. You will also be supporting the development, delivery and evaluation of the groups. What the role involves: + To support and assist staff in the development and delivery of the groups offered by the service. + Encourage and motivate attendees to participate in and maintain attendance at the group. + To give administrative and technological support related to the groups delivered by the service. + To support the maintenance of information on the service and other relevant services i.e. information leaflets, literature and session forms. DBS Level for this role is: Enhanced with adult barred list, We are proud to provide high quality mental health and learning disability services, both inpatient and in the community across five boroughs of Greater Manchester - Bury, Oldham, Rochdale, Stockport and Tameside and Glossop.
