Summary



The job:


This post is to support a mother to engage with her young children. Mum is physically disabled and uses a wheelchair. Mum is non-verbal, will speak via an iPad with adults, but will speak directly to her children. Her children are aged 9 & 3. The 3 year old daughter has developmental delays. This role includes all aspects of personal care needed by the children.



The role will include driving the employer's car to collect and drop off the children, so a driving license is required.



The right person:


You must be female and have excellent communication skills. You must have a caring nature, be good with children and be able to provide reliable weekend support to help mum engage with her children.



You must have a clean driving licence and have the skills and confidence to drive the employer's car.



The hours:


Initially 3-4 hours a day, alternate weekends, times to be agreed. The support hours available are expected to increase over time.



The rates of pay and benefits:



  • £12 per hour

  • You will receive 5.6 weeks pro-rata paid holidays per year.



Successful applicants must be eligible to work in the UK. This post is subject to DBS checks, the cost of which will be met by the employer.
